1) Pass, I have reasonable defense and not a hand to bid at the 5 level with.

2) Pass. Doubling is nuts, I have 2 tricks big deal.

3) low club, I feel like almost exactly this hand was posted on the forums once lol. My strong view then is the same as it is now, LHO asked for keycards and RHO had pretty much the most he could ever have. Thus they are definitely cold if I can't cash 2 tricks. Obviously declarer has solid diamonds and the heart ace and the club control. Hopefully his hand is something like xxx AQ AKQJxx KJ and they misguess clubs. I am 100 % confident that a low club is the right lead and a lead like a heart hoping to set up a heart trick in time is just hopelessly ambitious and delusional.

I am assuming imp scoring, at MP I will just cash it.

I don't think double is an option, but is there a reason partner can't have something like

Kxxx x KQxxx xxx ?

(well maybe not because he would have saved over 4H, but he doesn't know about the diamond fit)

I think any hand with 4=1 in the majors should have raised to the three-level or higher, just as it would have facing a 1 overcall.
... that would still not be conclusive proof, before someone wants to explain that to me as well as if I was a 5 year-old. - gwnn

1: I would bid 5 on the first,I can't resist temptation.

2: I would also bid on the second one, its a double fit hand and we haven't reached the 5 level yet!

3: I would had led a heart, but I read Justin and he is too convincing.

4: I'd start with 1-1-2NT-3-3NT-4 and move on from there, still very worried about third and 4th spade rounds as south and probably not going to reach 7 unless north takes control.

1. Pass
2. Pass. Can we be sure it is a double-fit hand Fluffy? Partner might be 4144, no?
3. Can't fault Justin's logic either.
4. In 2/1, perhaps 1 - 2; 2 - 2; 2NT - 3; 4 - 5(good,2+q); 5 - 5; 7

In relays:
1 = 15+ nat/bal or 18+ any
... - 1 = 4+ spades, GF
1 = relay, usually 18+
... - 2 = 4+ diamonds, at least 9 pointy cards
2 = relay
... - 2 = 5+ spades, 5+ diamonds
2NT = relay
... - 3 = 5 spades, 6+ diamonds
4 = relay
... - 4NT = extras, 4 controls
5NT = Q ask
... - 6 = no Q
6 = non-forcing Q ask
... - 6 = Q, no Q

1-pass
2- WTP pass

3- I Dont believe that responder can have solid D because he would bid 6NT especially if he need to protect K of clubs. IMO AKxxxx, AKQxx, AQJTxx make more sense. I guess low club is still the better lead because holding 3D is a bad news and its a bit unlikely that low club blow the defense anyway.
From Psych "I mean, Gus and I never see eye-to-eye on work stuff.
For instance, he doesn't like being used as a human shield when we're being shot at.
I happen to think it's a very noble way to meet one's maker, especially for a guy like him.
Bottom line is we never let that difference of opinion interfere with anything."

some interesting deals were played of course so here we are
board 1)

noone vulnerable

P P 4S ?

5H was the good decision as partner got

void
Axxxx
V10xxx
Vxx

the openr of 4S got
AKxxxxxx
x
x
AQx

other table opened 2C with that and the defense was then found , it ended up in 6S actually for down 1

board 2) ur north

i stupidely bid 4S and my partner got
KJxx
K
KQxxxx
xx

4S was doubled for down 2 when i pass the wrong one in S. Other table played 4H double down 2 also so 500+300 is huge at the end...

board 3)
leading with

Jxx
Kxx
xxx
Axxx

after the auction went :

C was the one to lead when the 4nt bidder got
Ax
AQ10xxx
KQx
xx

on H lead that i chose declare find ways to win ruffing 2H (he has KQ109xxx J Axx xx)

board 4)

i let u bid this one with ur favourtie partner :)north dealer(Heart's hand)

Ax
AK1098x
xx
AKx

Kxxxx
xx
AKQJxx
void

we bid 6nt after
1H 2D
2H 2S
3H 3S
6NT
(dont laugh :) )
Tarek sadek and his partner ahmed hussein bid
1H 2D
3H 5C
5D 5S
6H 7D

5C was voidwood 5S was asking for Q of H, 6H says i dont have and 7D is a conclusion.......nicely done just that as it happens 7D is not makeable with H 4-1 and when u cant ruff a S.. its sometiems better to be lucky than good

Pass -- Bidding is attractive but I dislike it for a few reasons. For one, people these days don't have major qualms with making a preempt like this on 6-5 or even 6-4. Heck, even if the guy has 7 spades we might still be 3-3. Partner needs at least one ace to give me a shot of making so it seems to me that the best argument for bidding is as a sacrifice. Well -- I'm not so sure they're making it so I pass. And another thing... nobody told partner he's supposed to pass 5! I would probably be pretty upset if he bid more. (Good reason to play 4N...5 as bad heart hand and direct 5 as good).

Pass -- I'm looking at 300 as a best-case scenario for bidding. It gets worse from there very quickly. And they may not make 4. Bidding looks nuts.

A --- Edit: JLOGIC is making some sense to me with his lead here... well played.
